Terms of Service

Effective 2026-07-16

These Terms of Service govern your use of ReadyRoute Logistics, a service of Ark Logistics LLC (“ReadyRoute,” “we,” “us”), for pickup, delivery, and courier services. Your agreement is with Ark Logistics LLC. By requesting a delivery, approving a quote, or using our website, you agree to these terms.

1. Our services

We provide local last-mile delivery and medical courier services across the Baltimore–DC metro and the Mid-Atlantic, and contract work in other areas by arrangement. We arrange transport between the pickup and drop-off locations you provide.

2. Quotes, estimates, and final price

Prices shown on our website or in a quote are estimates based on the information you provide (distance, vehicle, timing, and item details). The final price may be higher or lower once the job is confirmed or completed, for example if the route, wait time, item size, or number of stops differs from the estimate. We will settle any difference with you.

3. Booking, payment, and card on file

A delivery is scheduled only after you approve it and we have a valid payment card on file. New customers pay the estimated total up front. Established accounts may keep a card on file and be charged after delivery under agreed terms. You authorize us to charge your card for the delivery and any agreed adjustments. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

4. Cancellations and changes

You may cancel or change a delivery before a driver is dispatched. Once a driver is en route or has picked up your items, cancellation may incur a charge covering work already performed. We will tell you if a change affects the price.

5. If we can't complete the pickup

If our driver arrives and the job cannot be done because the items are not as you described them, will not fit the vehicle booked from the details you gave, or are not ready to collect, we charge a dry-run fee of 50% of the quoted price, with a minimum of $45.00, and refund the balance of anything you prepaid. The fee covers the driver's time, fuel, and the reserved slot.

A dry-run fee is never more than the delivery itself would have cost you. We will show you the basis for any fee we charge.

If our driver can still take part of the load and you agree to that, we complete the job at the quoted price and no dry-run fee applies.

If the failure is our fault, for example we sent the wrong vehicle despite accurate information from you, you are refunded in full and pay nothing.

6. Refused deliveries and returns

If a recipient refuses the delivery, the delivery has still been performed as ordered and is charged in full. Returning the items to you, or taking them anywhere else, is a separate delivery and is quoted and charged as its own job. We will contact you for instructions before moving your items.

If we cannot reach you and cannot deliver or return the items, we may hold them and charge reasonable storage. We are not a storage business and cannot hold items indefinitely.

7. Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Payment processing fees charged to us are not returned to us when we refund you, which is why fees such as the dry-run fee above apply where the work was already performed.

8. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for accurate pickup and drop-off details, for having items ready and properly packaged, and for ensuring someone is available to hand off or receive items where required. You confirm you have the right to send the items and that they comply with applicable law.

9. Prohibited and restricted items

We do not carry illegal items, hazardous materials outside agreed handling, firearms, living animals, or anything prohibited by law or by a carrier we use. Medical, temperature- controlled, and high-value items must be disclosed in advance so we can handle them correctly.

10. Declared value and liability

Unless you declare a higher value in writing and we agree to it before pickup, our liability for loss of or damage to items is limited to the lesser of the actual value of the item or the amount stated in your service agreement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. For valuable or irreplaceable items, please arrange appropriate insurance and declare the value before pickup.

11. Medical and high-value courier

For medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other sensitive goods, you are responsible for proper packaging, labeling, and any chain-of-custody or regulatory requirements. We follow the handling instructions you provide and any service agreement in place for your account.

12. Delays and events outside our control

We work hard to meet pickup and delivery windows, but times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures, recipient unavailability, incorrect information, or other events outside our reasonable control.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you approve a delivery applies to that delivery. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
